Overview
The Center for Value in Health, in collaboration with the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), is proud to announce the release of the OECD PaRIS Country Notes for Saudi Arabia.
This report offers an in-depth analysis of healthcare delivery in the Kingdom through the Patient-Reported Indicators Survey (PaRIS), marking a significant step forward in understanding and enhancing patient-centric and value-based care.
The OECD PaRIS initiative is an international effort aimed at systematically capturing patient-reported data on their experiences and outcomes to inform and improve healthcare systems worldwide. By focusing on what matters most to patients, the initiative supports countries in making meaningful, evidence-based improvements in healthcare quality and outcomes.
Saudi Arabia is proud to be one of 19 countries that participated in the PaRIS project. Notably, it is one of two non-OECD nation involved and the sole representative from the Middle East and Asia. This unique participation offers a unique perspective on how cultural factors shape PROMs and PREMs.
Saudi Arabia’s participation displays the country’s dedication to leveraging robust data and international collaboration to enhance patient care, setting a new benchmark for healthcare excellence in the region.
The Saudi Arabian report highlights both the strengths and the challenges of the nation’s healthcare system from the patients’ perspective.
While significant progress has been made in improving access, treatment outcomes, and overall quality of care, the report also identifies critical areas where further improvements can be made.
The Saudi Arabian report is a testament to the immense effort and dedication of healthcare professionals and leaders across the Kingdom to realize better value in health and care.
By integrating patient perspectives into the evaluation process, policymakers are better equipped to implement evidence-based strategies that enhance healthcare delivery.
The country report serves as a critical tool for driving systemic change, ensuring that every patient’s voice contributes to the evolution of healthcare practices.
