Dr.Reem Albunyan is Chief Executive Officer of Value in health, a national knowledge center engaged in policy analysis, research and education on value-based healthcare. Dr Reem is a consultant neurologist at King Fahad Specialist Hospital Dammam and served as National Leader for the chronic disease model of care and Director of the Saudi Eastern Regional Neurosciences Program in the Ministry of Health Saudi Arabia. She was co-chair of the G20 Health Working Group during the Saudi Arabian presidency2020. Dr. Reem is the Executive Director of the Global Innovation Hub for Improving Value in Health, a knowledge body membered by G20 countries and international organizations which aims to accelerate the global transformation towards value-based care. Dr Reem received her medical degree from King Faisal University and holds a MSc in health administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a master’s in clinical and translational science from the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.

Eng. Issra Bargo is Transformation Director at value in health, responsible for strategic management and delivery, and a range of policy initiatives relating to the measurement of value in health systems. Issra joined the center in March 2019 and contributed to the establishment of the Center and the establishment of the G20 Global Innovation Hub for Improving Value in Health. Previously, she worked on healthcare transformation projects in the Saudi health system with private and government organizations. Issra graduated BA in biomedical engineering from Sudan University of Science and Technology and holds a master’s in health economics and decision modelling from the University of Sheffield.

Mr. Khaled Sharaheli is Director of Resources, Planning and Partnerships. He leads the organization’s external collaboration and communication activities additional to his role is doing the manpower planning for the center. He is also contributing to a range of policy initiatives. Mr. Khaled joined the center in January 2021. Previously, Khaled led multiple health information and informatics projects for the Saudi Health Council and KFSH&RC. He holds a master’s in health information management from La Trobe University, Melbourne. He is a member of the Saudi Health Information Management Association (SHIMA).

Dr.John McGhee is Director of Policy and Knowledge at value in health and is responsible for the development and management of the center’s policy advocacy and research initiatives. Dr McGhee joined the center in April 2020. Previously, he worked in the healthcare practice of Kearney, a global management consulting firm. Dr McGhee graduated from the University of Oxford with a MA in politics, philosophy and economics, and holds an MBA from Cranfield School of Management and a PhD from the University of Birmingham.

Dr.Sara AlMunif is a Health Policy Consultant at value in health and National Project Manager for the OECD Patient-Reported Indicators Survey (PaRIS) project. She joined the center in December 2019 and is the Saudi national project manager for the OECD Patient-Reported Indicators Survey (PaRIS) project. Dr AlMunif joined the center from a tertiary care hospital working in the department of Infection Prevention and Control as a Public Health Physician. Previously, she worked with the World Health Organization and other international bodies on global health policy topics. Dr AlMunif received her medical degree from King Saud University and holds a master’s in public health with a focus on health policy and economics from Georgetown University. Dr AlMunif is currently a doctoral candidate in the public health program at New York University.

Dr. Khalid Aldossari is a Health Policy Manager at value in health, where he contributes to the Center’s policy advocacy and research initiatives. He joined the team in March 2024. Dr. Aldossari previously worked as Director of Preventive Medicine at the Eastern Health Cluster, where he led public health initiatives. He holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, a Masters in Laser Dentistry, and a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and management from Alfaisal University.

Mr.Ebele Anindi is the Director for Partnerships and Engagement with the Global Innovation Hub for Improving Value in Health. Mr.Ebele joined the Hub in February 2022. Previously, Ebele was an associate director at FSG, a global management consulting firm, and he led research projects at the World Health Organization within the Alliance for Health Policy & Systems Research. Mr.Ebele graduated AB in History of Science (Medicine and Society track) and holds a master’s in public health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Mohammed Alshehri is a project manager at Value in health, responsible for the development and management of the center’s agile project delivery. He joined the center in February 2022. Previously, He was a project manager with the Saudi Ministry of Health. Dr Alshehri received his medical degree from King Saud University, and holds an MBA from Cardiff Metropolitan University and a PhD in healthcare business administration from AIU. He is a lean six sigma black belt. Also, he is a PRINCE2 certified in project management from Axelos.

Ms. Haneen is responsible for all center internal communication initiatives and activities. She joined the center in January 2021. Previously, she worked at King Saud bin Abdul-Aziz University for Health Sciences. She graduated in Bachelor of English language and translation from Princess Norah Bint Abdulrahman University.

Ms.Fatemah Al Saif is a senior policy analyst at value in health and is currently leading the capability-building program in the Center. Ms.Fatemah has over 15 years of experience, joining the center in 2023. Previously, she worked as a quality management specialist at National Guard Health Affairs, King Abdulaziz Medical City, Riyadh, and as a senior medical technologist at Cytogenetics Laboratories. Ms.Fatemah gained her Bachelor of Clinical Laboratory Science from the College of Medical Applied Science at King Saudi University, Riyadh. She also holds a Certified Professional Healthcare Quality certificate (CPHQ).

Ms.Amani joined the center in 2024. She has twelve years’ experience, including three years leading homecare services for a private sector healthcare provider in Saudi Arabia. Ms.Amani holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a master’s degree in healthcare administration.

Dr. Razan Alarafah is a Health Policy Analyst at the Global Innovation Hub for Improving Value in Healthcare. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Dental Surgery and an Advanced Clinical Orthodontic Certificate from UCLA, as well as an MBA in Health Systems Management from the Merrick School of Business in the United States.
Dr. Alarafah leverages her diverse experience to analyze and enhance the resilience, efficiency, and equity of health systems. Alongside her policy work, she is a practicing dentist, combining clinical expertise with analytical skills to provide a comprehensive perspective on healthcare systems.
Previously, Dr. Alarafah gained valuable research experience at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research. She has also worked in healthcare management and consulting in the US and Saudi Arabia, focusing on sustainable financing models, public-private partnerships, and cost-effective strategies for healthcare systems.
Her career is marked by her expertise in developing policies that address health equity and the social determinants of health, as well as her work in evaluating best practices and strategies to promote the implementation of universal health coverage.

Ms.Abrar Alsurayhi is a research specialist at value in health. She focused on research initiatives and building a national case studies repository that highlights best practices related to value-based healthcare implementation. Prior to joining the center in 2022, she worked at the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture in WHO- One Health initiative that focused on Dengue Virus Control Project in Saudi Arabia. Ms.Abrar holds a master’s degree in public health epidemiology from New York Medical College and gained her bachelor’s degree in laboratory sciences and clinical Biotechnology from Taif University.
