Overview
The Global Innovation Hub forImproving Value in Health is excited to announce the public release of our latest report, “Drivers and Barriers for the Implementation of Value Based Healthcare in Latin America”.Several driving factors currently demand a greater focus on value-based healthcare (VBHC) in Latin America: rapid epidemiological transitions within ageing populations, the higher burden of chronic noncommunicable diseases, fragmented health systems, rising healthcare costs, and overwhelmed health systems emerging from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Produced in partnership with the Global Initiative on Health and the Economy and University of Miami Institute for Advanced Study of the Americas, this new report assesses the transition to VBHC along multiple dimensions in Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina, with a focus on identifying barriers and opportunities to unlock better value across key health systems in Latin America.
